Why it matters
Built from 1951 to 1952, the 212 Inter marked Ferrari’s transition toward the mature road-going grand tourer. Its 2.6-liter V12 produced 150 hp, while Vignale, Ghia, Touring and Pinin Farina created a wide variety of bodies. The model also began Ferrari’s defining relationship with Pinin Farina. Just 79 examples were produced.
