Ferrari created the 342 America as an exceptionally exclusive grand tourer, combining the large Lampredi V12 with bespoke Pinin Farina and Vignale coachwork.

Why it matters
Produced from 1952 to 1953, the 342 America translated Ferrari’s big-engine competition experience into a luxurious road car for an elite clientele. Its 4.1-liter Lampredi V12 delivered approximately 200 hp through a four-speed manual gearbox. Only six were made—three Pinin Farina coupés and three cabriolets bodied by Pinin Farina or Vignale—making it one of the rarest early Ferrari road models.
