Why it matters
Introduced in late 1968 as the successor to the 330 GTC, the 365 GTC retained its predecessor’s elegant Pininfarina body and short 2,400 mm wheelbase while enlarging the Colombo V12 to 4,390 cc. The Tipo 245/C engine produced approximately 320 hp and sent power through a rear-mounted five-speed transaxle, helping preserve near-even weight distribution. Independent wishbone suspension and four-wheel disc brakes gave the car exceptional road manners, while stronger low-speed torque made it an especially accomplished touring Ferrari. The defining visual change was the relocation of the engine-compartment cooling vents from the front fenders to the hood. Only 168 examples were built through 1970.
