Why it matters

Ferrari revealed the 410 Superamerica chassis at the 1955 Paris Motor Show, with completed cars appearing the following year. Series I used a long 2,800 mm chassis and a 4,962 cc Lampredi V12 producing approximately 340 hp, making it among the world’s fastest luxury automobiles. Sixteen examples formed the first series, most clothed as Pinin Farina coupés, with special bodies ensuring that individual cars remained highly distinctive.
