Why it matters
Unveiled in 2025, the Ferrari Amalfi replaced the Roma as Maranello's contemporary front-mid-engined V8 grand tourer. Its 3,855 cc F154-family twin-turbo V8 produced 640 cv at 7,500 rpm and 760 Nm, driving the rear wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. Lighter camshafts, a revised engine block and independently managed turbo speeds helped improve response while keeping the car usable in everyday driving. The Ferrari Styling Centre retained the Roma's graceful 2+ proportions but introduced a more monolithic form, with a body-colored floating front wing above a recessed lighting band and an active rear spoiler integrated almost invisibly into the tail. That wing could adopt Low Drag, Medium Downforce or High Downforce positions, adding 110 kg of downforce at 250 km/h in its most aggressive setting. Inside, a renewed dual-cockpit layout combined a 15.6-inch driver display, 10.25-inch central touchscreen and 8.8-inch passenger display with the welcome return of physical steering-wheel buttons and an aluminum engine-start control. Brake-by-wire, ABS Evo and faster road-grip estimation modernized the chassis electronics. Ferrari quoted 0–100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, 0–200 km/h in 9.0 seconds and a top speed of 320 km/h. Named for Italy's celebrated coast and launched in Verde Costiera, the Amalfi brought tactile clarity and fresh visual character to Ferrari's refined V8 touring tradition.
