Why it matters

Unveiled in 2016 as the successor to the FF, the GTC4Lusso refined Ferrari's most versatile grand-touring concept while preserving a naturally aspirated V12. Its 6,262 cc engine produced 681 hp at 8,000 rpm and 697 Nm of torque, with 80 percent available from just 1,750 rpm, delivering both effortless touring pace and an 8,250 rpm crescendo. The new 4RM-S system combined Ferrari's compact patented four-wheel-drive unit with rear-wheel steering for the first time, integrating them with Side Slip Control 4, the electronic differential, F1-Trac and magnetorheological dampers. The result was greater agility on dry roads and exceptional confidence on wet, snowy or low-grip surfaces without sacrificing rear-drive character. Pininfarina's original FF idea evolved into a more sculptural in-house Ferrari design, retaining the long hood and fastback shooting-brake roof while adding four circular tail lamps, a roof-mounted spoiler and a more assertive diffuser. Inside, the Dual Cockpit architecture gave the front passenger a dedicated 10.25-inch performance display, while four full-size seats and a large hatchback luggage area made continental travel genuinely practical. Ferrari quoted 0–100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and a maximum speed of 335 km/h. Its name linked Grand Tourer Coupe, four seats and the Lusso tradition, making the GTC4Lusso one of Ferrari's most complete blends of speed, luxury and all-weather usability.
