Ferrari GTC4Lusso T

Why it matters

Revealed in 2016 and launched for 2017, the GTC4Lusso T was the first four-seat Ferrari powered by a turbocharged V8. Its award-winning 3,855 cc engine produced 601 hp at 7,500 rpm and 760 Nm of torque between 3,000 and 5,250 rpm, delivering strong low-speed flexibility with virtually no perceptible turbo lag. Unlike the V12 GTC4Lusso, the T sent power exclusively to the rear wheels, eliminating the front-drive unit and reducing weight while shifting the distribution rearward to 46:54. Ferrari retained four-wheel steering and integrated it with Side Slip Control 3, using the rear wheels to sharpen turn-in and corner-exit response while preserving stability. Variable Boost Management progressively shaped the torque curve through the higher gears, combining immediate urban drivability with the rising acceleration expected from a Ferrari. The exterior retained the GTC4Lusso's sculptural shooting-brake profile, four round tail lamps and large hatchback, while the four-place Dual Cockpit featured a 10.25-inch high-definition touchscreen and a dedicated passenger display. Ferrari quoted 0–100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and a maximum speed above 320 km/h. By pairing long-distance practicality with a lighter nose, rear-wheel drive and a broad wave of turbocharged torque, the GTC4Lusso T created a distinctly agile alternative to its V12 sibling rather than merely a lower-powered version.
